Moratorium on Interest

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The various interest rate and calculation settings control how interest is normally calculated.

However, special consideration may be extended to a debtor resulting in a moratorium on interest. This means that interest is either wholly suspended or charged at a lesser rate during a defined period.

Calin easily facilitates such arrangements.

Simply enter the relevant date span and the new interest rate. You can do this for both debit and credit rates.

These settings have the effect of overriding normal interest rates during the relevant period.
