Use series of historic interest rates that are already stored in a file. Click the down-arrow to select an existing file, or to create a new file. Once you have selected a file you can edit it by clicking the button (the button that the file name is on).
It can also make sense to create a file rate even when the interest rate is static. This means you do not have to remember the interest rate, you simple select the file. The file can also control other things such as compounding, and the frequency at which interest is calculated.

You can create as many custom file rates as you like, and you can also access any supplied rate files that you are licensed to use (if any).
