Start Calculation At First Debit Principal Balance
If there are one or more credit transactions at the start then they will be skipped. That is because the balance is in credit and typically no interest would apply.
This also skips any debit or credit transactions that are not subject to interest, as they do not contribute to Principal.
Alternatively, you can select the Start at first transaction option, in which case the initial credits will not be skipped.
Start Calculation At First Transaction
The calculations will start with the first transaction in the transaction roster - even if it results in a credit balance on which interest would not ordinarily apply.
Alternatively, you can select the At First Debit Balance option, in which case the initial credits will be skipped, and the calculations will commence on the first debit balance (ie overdue amount).
Start Calculation At Other Start Date
You can manually set the date that calculations will start.
The starting amount on which interest is calculated, will be the prevailing balance on the specified date.
Do not use this option with the Multiple Cases with Transactions choice unless you are sure the start date is the same for every case.
